Onshore Crude Oil Lifting Equipment
(Commonly known as a "Nodding Donkey" or "Pumpjack")
This equipment is the most widely used artificial lift system in onshore oilfield production. It operates by driving the downhole sucker rod string and downhole pump in a reciprocating motion, thereby lifting the crude oil from the wellbore to the surface gathering and pipeline system.
The pumpjack is generally categorized into two main types:
Conventional Beam Pumping Unit – the standard crank-balanced or beam-balanced design.
Special Energy-Saving Pumping Unit – featuring optimized geometry or variable-speed drive mechanisms for improved efficiency and reduced power consumption.
